The Only Way

Everywhere that I go I must tell everyone of the Savior I know. And the things He has done He’s the truth and the life And there’s no other way to the Father, but by Him. Long ago When He knew you’d be out on a limb He gave His life for you, can’t you live yours for Him? He’s the Almightly rock and you won’t have a firm foundation Unless you’re built on Him. You Can’t live without Him. You can’t move without Him. You can’t breathe Without Him. You can’t think about doing one thing without Him. You can’t do without Him ‘Cause there’s no you without Him. Because He’s the only way The only Way. There’s no other name Than the name of Jesus There’s no one Than the one who frees us. There’s no other way No other way What more can I say? He’s the only only way The only way.

The Wise and Foolish Buiders

Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock. But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell with a great crash.
Matthew 7:24-27

Your Call

In the theater world, actors and actresses often audition for roles. After that, the person in charge of the production will schedule callbacks. Certain ones who have auditioned will be asked to come back for a second and sometimes a third or fourth audition before they are either given the part or told that someone else has landed it. A person in the entertainment world knows that he or she has arrived as a star when a director or producer calls and offers them a part without an audition. The candidate is being chosen to fill a role that the director believers is absoluetly perfect for that person and nobody else. God doesn’t deal in auditions and callbacks for His children. He has something for you to do that only you can do. No one else can play the part or fill the role or meet the need. Only you. If you just want to be a woman, then you have a lot of competition. But when the call goes out for you, you have no competition. Only you can truly be you. The real you is a composite of what is on the inside and what is on the outside, and what is on the inside is the more important part. Wait for the call that is specifically for you. Don’t respond to a blanket call, or a generic call or a gender call, or wolf-whistle call. Listen for the call that says, I don’t want anybody but you because only you will do. Then respond. Wait for that call before you decide to marry someone. Wait for that call before you commit to a friendship. It’s the same call God puts on your life. He calls you individually-by name, not by number to do a very specific job and to fill a very specific role in His Kingdom. Nobody else will do. He has designed you to meet all the qualifications. He hasn’t created any other person who will fit the bill like you fit the bill. You don’t need to be jealous of or intimidated by anyone else because when God calls for you, you are the only one who can answer. You have no contenders in His sight. You are the star He has in mind for the role He has written just for you.

Moses said to the Lord, You have been telling me, Lead these people, but your have not let me know whom you will send with me. You have said, I know you by name and you have found favor with me.

You are Somebody

God looked out across eternity. He saw you He saw everything He had created and everything He would create around you He saw the specific need on this earth that He would make you to meet. He saw the full set of traits and abilities that you would need in order to complete His purpose for your life. He knew what kind of environment that would be necessary for you to properly develop the gifts He would give you. God looked… and then He created. He created you. You! And God looked at you and said, This is good. Do you have the same opinion of yourself? Do you agree with God’s opinion of you? It’s important that you appreciate the way God created you because other people are going to treat you the way you treat yourself. They will respect you only to the degree that you respect yourself. If you are attracting people who don’t treat you well, I’m sorry but you are the prime suspect in that case. What kind of message are you sending that allows them to treat you poorly? In order for people to treat you well, there must be something deep inside of you that sends out a signal saying, I am somebody because God made me to be somebody. I may not be twenty-one and wear a size seven. I may be seventy-one and wear a size twenty-seven. But I am somebody. When you send out a signal like that, other people pick up on it. There’s something your spirit exudes that gives you presence with others. There’s a quality of inner strength that makes you attractive. It causes walk into a room, Who is she? They won’t be asking because your dress is of strength is not arrogance or pride. It is healthy self-esteem and the power of God’s Spirit within you. The way you appreciate yourself impacts everything you do. It affects the way you sit in a classroom, or apply for a job, or talk to people at a social function, or go about the ministry God has called you to undertake. It even affects the way you pray and the way you study God’s Word. If you think that you a nobody with no future and no value, you are going to pray with less power and suspect that the promises of God are for everybody else but you. God wants you to apprectiate who He made you to be and to develop what He gave you. He doesn’t want you to try to exchange what He gave you for what He gave someone else. You are a unique blend of talents and giftings and character; and you have a unique destiny upon this earth. You are somebody!

So God created human beings in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.
