Parable of the Pencil

The Pencil Maker took the pencil aside, just before putting him into the box. There are 5 things you need to know, he told the pencil, Before I send you out into the world. Always remember them and never forget, and you will become the best pencil you can be. One: You will be able to do many great things, but only if you allow yourself to be held in Someone’s hand. Two: You will experience a painful sharpening from time to time, but you’ll need it to become a better pencil. Three: You will be able to correct any mistakes you might make. And Five: On every surface you are used on, you must leave your mark, No matter what the condition, you must continue to write. The pencil understood and promised to remember, and went into the box with purpose in its heart. Now replacing the place of the pencil with you. Always remember them and never forget, and you will become the best person you can be. One: You will be able to do many great things, but only if you allow yourself to be held in God’s hand. And allow other human beings to access you for the many gifts you possess. Two: You will experience a painful sharpening from time to time, by going through various problems in life, but you’ll need it to become a stronger person. Three: You will be able to correct any mistakes you might make. Four: The most important part of you will always be what’s on the inside. And Five: On every surface you walk through, you must continue to do your duties.

Moral Benefits of Wisdom

My son, if you accept my words and store up my commands within you, turning your ear to wisdom and applying your heart to understanding-indeed if you call out for insight and cry alound for understanding, and if you look for it as for silver and search for it as for hidden treasure, then you will understand the fear of the LORD and find the knowledge of God. For the LORD gives wisdom; from his mouth come knowledge and understanding. He holds success in store for the upright, he is a shield to those whose walk is blameless, for he guards the course of the just and protects the way of his faithful ones. Then you will understand what is right and just For wisdom will enter your heart and knowledge will be pleasant to your soul. Discretion will protect you, and understanding will guard you. Wisdom will save you from the ways of wicked men, from men whose words are perverse, who have left the straight paths to walk in dark ways who delight in doing wrong and rejoice in the perverseness of evil, whose paths are crooked and who are devious in their ways. Wisdom will save you also from the adulterous woman, from the wayward woman with her seductive words, who has left the partner of her youth and ignored the convenant she made before God. Surely her house leads down to death and paths to the spirit of the dead. None who go her return or attain the paths of life. Thus you will walk in the ways of the just and keep to the paths of the righteous. For the upright will live in the land, and the blameless will remain in it; but the wicked will be cut off from the land. and the unfaithful will be torn from it.

Life is Like a Homemake Cake

A little boy is telling his Grandma how everything is going wrong: school, family problems, and severe health problems in the family. Meanwhile, Grandma is baking a cake. She asks her grandson if he would like a snack, which of course he does. Here, have some cooking oil, she says. Yuck says the boy. Then how about a couple raw eggs? Gross, Grandma he replies. Would you prefer some flour then? Or maybe some baking soda? Grandma, those are all yuckly he replied. To which Grandma replies: Yes, all those things seem to taste bad all by themselves. But when they are mixed together in the right amounts and the right manner, they make a deliclous cake! She continued, God works the same way. Many times we wonder why he would let us go through such bad difficult times. But God knows that when He puts these things all in His order, they always work for good! We just have to trust Him and eventually, they will all make something wonderful!

A Scripture From Proverbs 4:7-9

The beginning of wisdom is this: Get wisdom Though it cost all you have, get understanding Cherish her, and she will exalt you; embrace her, and she will honor you. She will give you a garland to grace your head and present you with a glorious crown.

A Scripture From Psalm 20

May the LORD answer you when you are in distress; may the name of the God of Jacob protect you. May he send you help from the sanctuary and grant you support from Zion. May he remember all your sacrifices and accept your burnt offerings. May he give you the desire of your heart and make all your plans succeed. May we shout for joy over your victory and lift up our banners in the name of our God. May the Lord grant all your requests. Now this I know: The LORD gives victory to his anointed. He answers him from his heavenly sanctuary with the victorious power of his right hand. Some trust in chariots and some in hores, but we trust in the name of the LORD our God. They are brought to their knees and fall, but we rise up and stand firm. LORD, give to the king! Answer us when we call!
