Only You

You are unique, dear woman. That is what makes you priceless. The Lord will never, ever replace you. Though He has millions more children, each one wonderful. none is exactly like you! Never give up your uniqueness in order to be what you admire in someone else. Glean all you can from everyone, but duplicate none. You are too priceless as an original to be reduced to a cheap copy! Perhaps you do not understand what an amazing jewel of a woman you are. The Lord created you for a purpose that only you can fulfill. Pay attention now! Have you yet realized how intensely God loves you? In spite of your afflictons, He loves you. The Father sweeps you up into His heart. He had held you through the rough places, trusting the strength of His arms to keep you through the pains of life. It has been a long ride, but He is still holding on. Perhaps you have asked the Father for something, and He didn’t do what you thought He should have done. Perhaps you are disappointed that He didn’t show up in the way you thought He would. Before you feel unloved, take a moment and think. Isn’t there evidence in your life that, from time to time, He has brought you through a storm? Don’t you dare act as if the Father doesn’t love you just because He doesn’t already shown and the night rides He has already carried you through. That love constantly affirms your uniqueness. You see, our society has spent so much time criticizing difference that we fail to see God in diversity. He never made two snowflakes alike. He wants us to be different. Different doesn’t mean less than or more than-just different. If God hadn’t made you as He did, you wouldn’t have been able to persevere as you have. There are many people who couldn’t take what you have been through. God wants to use you in a unique way to be a blessing to those around you. Remember, people are blessed when you are sincere-not perfect, just sincere. Don’t let anyone manipulate you into forsaking your own uniqueness. Those people weren’t built for your life’s destiny, and they can’t play your role. Aren’t you glad that God prepared you for life instead of preparing life for you? So, whether life is ready for you or not, you are ready for it! Just tell the world, Get ready, get ready, get ready!
For we are God’s hadiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.
Ephesians 2:10

Christmas Day

Today is Christmas! The Christ is reborn in me! Today we celebrate God’s gift to all humankind. Today we honor and celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ-our Savior, Messiah, Master, and Teacher! In His birth, divine light and love entered our world to proclaim itself the ultimate reality and to show all people the way to harmony and to peace and goodwill on earth. Today we celebrate the Christ, the divine principle, that is born-and-reborn-in us whenever we realize its mighty presence and power. This gift is ours in each moment, to discover and express its inherenet qualities of new life, boundless love, unceasing joy, spiritual wisdom, eternal peace, and more. Today we celebrate the Christ in one another by encouraging an awakening to our divine potential This Christmas and always, we open ourselves to fully experience the beauty and joy of the Christ presence within and around us. Our hearts thrill to the love of Jesus Christ within and to the opportunity to express this love to others.

Angels were Sent

As shepherds watched their flocks, The Lord sent angles to the earth. They told the shepherds, Do not fear, And announced the Christ Child’s birth. The Child was dressed in swadding clothes And in a manger He did lay. And then, the glory of the Lord Did light the angels’ way. Peace on earth! Good will to men! Angelic hosts did sweetly sing. Go, see the Child in Bethlehem. He’s the Savior and the King. They came with haste to see Him-Mary, Joseph, and the Babe they found In a bed of hay and straw And animals gathering ’round. The shepherds left and made known, Praising God, having seen the Holy One. And told what the angles said… Christ is born unto us, a Son.

To Honor Him

In darkened sky a star shone bright, While angles sang that wondrous night Of Jesus’ birth in stable dim, That all may come to honor Him. To honor Him, our King of Kings, On Christmas Eve, the church bell rings, And people gather from afar To celebrate that holy star, Proclaiming Him, our Savior mild, The holy Babe, the dear Christ Child. We honor Him with song and light, With holly wreaths and candles bright, Our homes aglow with Christmas cheer, Goodwill abounds this time of year. So celebrate with gift and song, But let your spirit all year long Proclaim His coming, sing His praise, The Savior comes to bless our days.

Do not Worry

Then Jesus said to his disciples; Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat; or about your body, what you will wear. Life is more than food, and the body more then clothes. Consider the ravens: They do not sow or reap, they have no storeroom or barn; yet God feeds them. And how much more valuable you are than birds! Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to your life? Since you cannot do this very little thing, why do you worry about the rest? Consider how the wild flowers grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you, not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today, and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, how much more will he clothe you-you of little faith! And do not set your heart on what you will eat or drink; do not worry about it. For the pagan world runs after all such things, and your Father knows that you need them. But seek his kingdom and these things will given to you as well. Do not be afraid little flock, for your Father has been pleased to give you the kingdom.

A Grain of Wheat Must Die

Listen carefully: Unless a grain of wheat is buried in the ground, dead to the world, it is never any more than a grain of wheat. But if it is buried it sprouts and reproduces itself many times over.
